I had class starting at 7.30 this morning. This means I left my place at about 7 and what a calm morning it was. The light has reduced significantly (for instance the sun sets today at 18.49) and I enjoy the changes. This was taken from the overlook at this school during a break at about 10am or so.
So, early lecture, then we headed out for Høyslaas.
From the school the trailhead was about a 20 minute ride.
Going up.
Høyslaas is a distinctive feature on the land. It rises a fair bit. On top is a grave area to someone that must have been of some power during the bronze age. This is his grave along with some family members and plenty of artifact items intended for the afterlife...oh, and Jens.
Some of Bø and the valley.
You can make out some of town on the left part of the valley.
Part of Lifjell seen from Høyslaas
We then had to make pinnebrød. Going clockwise starting with the guy at 6o'clock: Arne, Maria, Kris (sort of Suzana's face), Ross (Will behind), Sofie, Anna, Jens, Kurt's foot. Norwegian, Danish, German, Czech, Welsh, Brit, Danish, Brit, Danish, American respectively.
We made charcoal on the fire and then drew.
idk, I spent like 3 minutes with mine.
On the way down I spotted Gygrestolen.
We then made our way to Trælsborg/Bygdeborg, ruins of an old fortress.
This was just from yesterday but too nice to not share.
We did pizza with a group last night. It sort of turned into a pizza monster with two pizzas put on top of each other face to face. All was from scratch. Another Finn showed up last night that will be staying a week. We will show him Bø. It will take 20 minutes.
