Mustang

Things continue here at PLU. The room mates are a great group of guys and I am very pleased with the situation here. Today was the first day of classes, however, there was an opening convocation this morning before hand. Those that wished to participate met at the bell in red square for the procession of the professors and pastors. We then continued the procession with students following to Olson, one of the larger buildings on campus where there was a convocation. There was a live band for the music of the Star Spangled Banner and various other tunes followed by various addressed by faculty including the president of the university.
So that was that.

Afterwards was a campus involvement fair where all the clubs and organizations had small booths set up where students could give their contact information. I filled out forms for several groups and clubs. Bike stuff, Scandinavian stuff, outdoor rec/trip stuff, and skiing.

Today I had Norwegian and the Music course. I had met with the professor of the Norwegian course already before the school year started so we knew each other. Most of the class had taken the previous course with this professor last year. It will be good

The Music course's teacher is Norwegian American and is very good. He knows his stuff and is entertaining. The students are a good mix of ages, school levels, etc...

A couple Norwegian buddies went out and bought a Mustang...yea. Must be nice..

I was out at Spanaway creek awhile back and also was out at Spanaway lake another day watching the Hydros race. There was a large turnout of vintage class so that was a lot of fun.
Spanaway creek and Breseman
I was out on a ride and saw this magnificent beast. Massive horned cow out towards Puyallup. There was also a small goat.

There is a field area very close to the building I live in. I went out for a stroll this evening. It was a very nice night.
