The sun came out for the first time in quite some time. I rode around after getting my bike back together (it had been in disrepair for about a week) and took some pictures. The hills in the foreground have been off and on (mostly on) covered in snow. In the background is part of Lifjell.
Old schoolhouse and a stabbur
Someone found a warm spot :)
Silos in town that can be seen from quite the distance.
You have likely seen them in my other pictures.
We are pretty frosty as of late. Today we never made it above freezing.
The sun rises now about 9 but we do not see it until 10 or so. It is mostly gone by 2 or so.
Like I said, this is the brightest it has been in some time.
Towards the fog/road on the right is town.
Towards the fog and a ways in this picture is Gvarv. (to the west)
Just out on the roads. Pretty typical around here.
I love it.
I am not sure what this is, but I would like to find out. A memorial or grave of some sort.
The person would have had to have been quite important to get a stone like that.
Town continues to slowly get into the Christmas spirit.
Today was the last kaffekosen (coffee hour) where the international students have met every week to hang out, drink coffee, and whatever else. That kind of stuff is winding down while projects are certainly winding up.
