I have been keeping this under wraps lately due to a multitude
of reasons but; there is a very good chance I will be heading to Norway again
in August and staying through the remainder of 2014. PLU has an agreement with
a university at Bø in Telemark where classes transfer between the two institutions
as if it is the same place, just different locations. I have managed to secure
some funding recently through various organizations making the travel much more
financially feasible.
My capstone will be coming up for Spring Semester 2015
and I hope to be able to take care of some research in Norway resulting in my
own material. In my opinion this would outweigh any information found in books,
journals, articles, etc. There will also be time to travel.
Paperwork has been wild through the past month and half but
things are nearly in order. I should mention that should anything come up I can
pull the plug up to about a month or so out. Case in point, I have options.
In other news; I was in Spokane over the weekend. I left
Friday from Parkland at about 2.30 and made it into Spokane somewhere between
7.30 and 8, meeting the guys for the bachelor party at Churchill’s Steakhouse
downtown. I got in just as they were getting desert. From there we hit Northern
Quest Casino for awhile making it back to the house somewhere around 2.
Saturday we were up and left the house by 10.30 or so for Suncrest to go blow
stuff up and shoot an arsenal of weaponry. Truck, sticks, guns, mud, and flannel.
Spokane at its finest. The rest of Saturday was pretty low key. The river was flowing quite high in Spokane but the Columbia was at its lowest I have ever seen it. Massive sandbars. I took off for
Parkland at 7 in the morning on Sunday making it in for a 1 o’clock meeting at
PLU. It was a quick trip but good times. The wedding happens on the 16th.
This poor high-boy has been for sale for years.
Chloe, Ethan's dog. Odd sit.
Time is going too fast.
