Drive

I was up at Alpental on Saturday and it snowed all day. I spent some time in the back country hiking around, skiing, and where there were people, watching their dogs. Huskies, Burnese Mountain dogs, I even made friends with a Norwegian Elk Hound that came running over from his VW bus after I opened my jerky. Smart dog...

I took these pictures shortly after arriving. By the time I headed out 4x4 was a requirement and I had to shovel off the hood to see. Felt more like home.
I headed up that shute straight ahead. This is sort of the area towards Snow Lakes for anyone familiar with the area.
Changing room/storage/closet/pent house supreme
Vertfest was also this weekend so there were vendors, booths, and things to look at around the main Alpental lodges. I headed down to Oly from there and stayed through Monday. Monday Dad and I went to LeMay museum where there are four stories of vehicles to check out including a current exhibition on VW. I saw the 8th oldest VW in the world in person, a 1943. The entire place is filled with incredible vehicles from all makes and parts of the world. Anyone that likes anything mechanical or vehicles should check it out.

Back at the grind tomorrow...
