Oktoberfest!

Matthew came in on Friday!
Back up...I drove to Puyallup to pick up Rachel and from there went up to Seatac to pick Matthew up after flying in from the City of Angels. From Seatac we battled heavy traffic up I-90 until east of Snoqualmie pass on our way to Roslyn. It was SO good to be back in Roslyn. Chicken soup and Uno ensued Friday night with some very odd twists. Afterwards an even more odd walk around town took place.

Saturday we awoke to heavy snowflakes and a nice dusting in Roslyn. This was made even better with pancakes and the anticipation of Oktoberfest in Leavenworth. The drive up Blewett pass was magical with snow, rain, fall colors, etc. and we made pretty decent time. The weather in Leavenworth was great!
Lunch:
Goulash
Käsespätzle
Serendipity gartenburger
Did the Oktoberfest thang....ooooompaah oooompaaah

Sunday we awoke to snowflakes again in Roslyn. It never stuck though. We packed up, cleaned up, and then stopped on top of Snoqualmie for a brief hike and photo session. Matthew did the shooting, I ran the lights, and Rachel was the main subject. Of course there were a few inches of snow up there.
