Spring Break

Classes have been out since last Friday for a much needed lull in the chaos that is life. On top of everything else last week the brakes on my truck decided they were going to fail on me. $500 later I have all new brakes up front. Literally everything and a bearing pack. The rears were fine. There goes the tax return. Friday after work I drove down to Olympia to the parent's place and met up with Mom's parents before they headed to the Oregon Coast. I also had a chance to see the progress on their new house. Nice! Saturday I was back up in Puyallup and Parkland to give the private museum tour (lol) for Dad's parents and then we did dinner. That was nice.
We had good weather over the weekend through Monday in Olympia so I was able to take care of some maintenance on my sailboat. Lousy, but because of the current situation of life I am looking at selling it. I had a chance to get out in the woods with the bike only to have the front go flat on me. Not sure what the problem is there, but I am not having much luck with tubes lately. Olympia is grossly better than Parkland.
This week is not without work. I have an ethnography to finish on the Chipewyan people, a project/presentation to put together with a partner on Scandinavian Design (not even started), and funding to attempt to get together for the coming year. It is all due on the first.

I simply could not resist. In Olympia
