I made a trip to Wolfhaven as a celebratory event. I had been meaning to get down there for awhile. The reserve is just down the road near Tenino, WA. The weather cooperated and so did the wolves, coyotes, and hybrids! To be honest the pictures on their website are better than anything I was able to get (chain link you know...) What wonderful creatures.

Wolfhaven offers a photography tour that I would recommend for anyone wanting real quality pictures of the animals. Their website has the details. Everyone seemed to be quite interested in these humans and would acknowledge our presence. In other news: I made a quick blast to Spokane and back last week. The Grandparent's rig died just east of Snoqualmie pass in route to Spokane so I came to the rescue and drove them to Spokane while the vehicle was being repaired in Cle Elum. Their vehicle is out of production and getting parts proved to be "interesting". Parts had to come out of Reno, NV and it would be a couple of days. While in Spokane I managed to catch up with friends (thanks again for dinner), shoot some pool, and hike up through "my" rapidly depleting woods. Progress right? lol
Once the vehicle was ready Grandpa and I trekked back across to Cle Elum, picked up the refinished suv, and had a quick dinner. We said our good byes and I continued west to Oly and he turned around back to Spokane.
For anyone wondering; the death came in terms of the idler pulley on the serpentine belt. The bearings failed, it locked up, killed the belt, and took out the idler arm in the process. Good times!
