Sailing
Today I put my little sailboat in the bay next to the house. Budd inlet or Steh-Chass as the natives call it, to be more precise. This is the first time my boat has been in saltwater under my ownership. She handled it well. I managed to scare off some seagulls from a small island on westbay after making a rather hard landing on the island. There was a small cave on the island a few feet deep and the island was mostly composed of industrial debris and bricks covered in barnacles. It is nice having the bay just down the hill from my bed. The tide was out for this shot.

How big is your boat? It reminds me of one my neighbor had back in high school. We lived out on Cooper Point Road and would take the boat out often. Enjoy your water access.
ReplyDeleteMy little boat is 11' not counting rudder. My Mom has told me a bit about living on Cooper Pt. Nice!
